It’s pretty comfy and the fabric is cozy, but I think coziness is the reason it’s a lint and hair magnet. As in the lintiest item I’ve ever owned. I’m also not a fan of the way the zipper lays. Because the weight of the zipper is too much for the fabric, it creates a poochy bulge in the middle of my chest and another one at my waist. I originally bought it in blue and returned for black hoping the bulgy zipper would be less noticeable and black is a little better. Some people might also be bothered by how high up the zipper cones on your neck, it’s a little uncomfortable. If looks don’t matter to you, then go for it, but I prefer some of my other wool hoodies that don’t have either of these issues.

I have been looking for an all-merino wool sweater to replace my beloved SmartWool hiking sweater for years now. Who knew finding thumb holes, pockets, and being a full-zip sweater would be so hard? Woolly, didn’t! I love the blue color, but fear it will get stained more quickly than my brown and blue blended beloved sweater of yore. Perhaps they’ll recreate the sweater of my dreams yet, and I’ll buy a dozen to never have to worry I’ll never find it again. But for now, a lightweight hiking sweater is finally back in my life and I am loving it!

I now own four of them in various colors. I find them warm and soft. They're stretchy and cozy. I wear them with casual dresses or sweat pants. When the weather's above freezing, I skip the coat. I love these hoodies!

Wore my wool hoodie nearly everyday and many nights thru hiking the Colorado Trail this year. Couldn't have survived the weather and hail in the mountains w/o it. No hiker stink. Material held up well with care.

I bought this for a trip to Switzerland in October where I needed flexible pieces for layering, and it was a perfect fit for my needs! I would love to give 5 stars, but just can’t for two reasons: 1. It is pilling which doesn’t effect the usefulness of the piece, but I am surprised at the amount of pilling after only 10 days of use. 2. I wish the pockets were deeper, and better yet, had zippers! To be fair, the pocket situation is exactly as advertised, so this is more of a suggestion for future improvement.
