Hi! We're James, Mike, Carly, Chris, Galen and Erica, also known as Woolly Clothing Co. We are Seattleites who love the outdoors and love designing, testing and wearing merino. We see the negative impact synthetic garments have on our environment. And we recognize the high price tag of natural alternatives like wool - Time to change that.
Synthetic materials have been the traditional fabric of activewear. We started Woolly because believe wool is a better everyday fabric for your next adventure, workout or commute. Whether in the backcountry or the boardroom, nothing matches the performance and versatility of merino.

We once thought plastic was recycled. It isn't. Even worse, it's destroying our oceans. Our addiction to plastic, like petroleum, has serious environmental consequences. To keep plastic out of our oceans we must reduce the amount of plastic we use.
That's why we love merino as a foundation fabric and develop innovative products like NatureDry. You get all the performance of synthetics, without the plastic, and reduce the impact on our world.

We're a small business here in Seattle. Operating Woolly as an independent business allows us to support causes right in our community. From how we sew our garments, handle our inventory and invest our profits - we get the chance to make the world a little better.

We ensure responsible production as members of BSCI, setting a high code of conduct for labor rights. We donate to organizations including the Recovery Café, a nonprofit serving people struggling with homelessness and mental health. We reinvest profits into organizations that inspire us including Black Lives Matter Seattle, the NAACP and the Northwest Avalanche Center.
