I wanted to leave a detailed review of my experience with the NatureDry jacket. I think I read a few complaints about sizing, I was quite worried about that myself. I didn't need to be.
Yes, the hood is big - I understand that it is meant to accommodate a bicycle helmet. I don’t use a bicycle helmet but easily managed to adjust the head so it doesn’t fall over my eyes anymore. The hood is also great when wearing a hoodie under the jacket.
And yes, the sleeves are rather long, I really like that, as it means the sleeves don’t ride up my arms when holding the handlebars on my bike. And falling slightly over the backs of my hands, I’m kept completely dry and warm at all times.
The whole fit of the jacket is roomy enough to layer up with a thick woolen jumper, yet fitting closely enough to wear just over a t-shirt.
I’m thoroughly impressed how close to really waterproof the NatureDry jacket really is, and being totally windproof, and still being the most breathable jacket I ever owned.
I’d also expect the jacket to keep its remarkable properties for a very long time. There is no thin membrane easily damaged. Will water get through eventually if one stays long enough in torrential rain? Most certainly, but that’s the same with every jacket. (Or it’s really waterproof, but then it also can’t breathe.)
Lastly, any dirt - and I’ve tested with really nasty, muddy muck - can be easily rinsed off with just warm water.
Best. Outdoor. Jacket. Ever!
