We hear it from our customers every day: life is better in merino wool.
And when you feel great, life has no limits.
We want to make your favorite shirt. We want you to enthusiastically
pull on your undies. We want you to feel unstoppable, every day, in merino wool.
So let's wake up stoked. And hit the sheets satisfied.
Let's live life well worn.
Hi! We're James, Mike and Chris - the founders of Woolly Clothing Co. We are 3 Seattleites who love the outdoors and love wearing merino. We see the negative impact synthetic garments have on our environment. And we recognize the high price tag of natural alternatives like wool.
We launched Woolly to prove that making affordable merino clothes was doable. Now we want to make a fully merino life possible by replacing your synthetic garments with better versions made from wool.
Share our love for wool? Curious about partnership opportunities? Pondering the mystical implications of wearing wool? Get in touch with us.
Try us. You’ll love it.
Experience goes a lot further than our flowery words. We want you to experience merino’s comfort and performance first hand. So give us a try - we know you will love it. If at any point you have a problem, reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Synthetic materials have been the traditional fabric of activewear. We started Woolly because believe wool is a better everyday fabric for your next adventure, workout or commute. Whether in the backcountry or the boardroom, nothing matches the performance and versatility of merino.
With simple style and surprising softness, Woolly aims to deliver all the upside of merino while competing head on with synthetics, dollar for dollar. This is merino made for all.
We once thought plastic was recycled. It isn't. Even worse, it's destroying our oceans. Our addiction to plastic, like petroleum, has serious environmental consequences. To keep plastic out of our oceans we must reduce the amount of plastic we use.
That's why we love merino as a foundation fabric and develop innovative products like NatureDry. You get all the performance of synthetics, without the plastic, and reduce the impact on our world.
We're a small business here in Seattle. Operating Woolly as an independent business allows us to support causes right in our community. From how we sew our garments, handle our inventory and invest our profits - we get the chance to make the world a little better.
Here are some ways we do business for good.
- Responsible sewing: We are proud members of BSCI that sets a high code of conduct for labor rights and standards.
- We donate a portion our inventory to organizations including the Union Gospel Mission to support Seattle's homeless.
- We reinvest profits into organizations that inspire us including Black Lives Matter Seattle, the NAACP and the Northwest Avalanche Center advocating for winter safety.
What is Woolly's Guarantee?
We appreciate your business. And we want you to be happy. If you are not satisfied for any reason don't hesitate to contact us at email@example.com. If the mood strikes you, we'd love your feedback or a product review. We want constructive input just as much as the high fives and likes. We can't make the world's best merino clothes without continuous feedback from our customers.
What about our wool?
Woolly Clothing’s garments are made from Woolmark certified Australian Merino, regarded as the world’s finest and softest wool. Inherently natural, biodegradable and renewable, Merino wool is the result of 200 years of sustainable farming on Australia’s grassland terrain.
Our Standards of Sustainability.
More wool. Less plastic. That's our goal. From the standpoint of sustainability, it doesn’t get much better than merino wool. While synthetics are plastic and petroleum based, merino garments are totally natural, biodegradable and renewable.
With a love for the environment and the outdoors at our core, we took great care in finding a sewing partner that can meet our standards for quality, sustainability and excellent working conditions. Since 2013, Woolly has developed a strong partnership with an amazing sewing specialist in Jiangdong, China. Just as we do here in Seattle, they take worker health and safety very seriously and are certified members of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). BSCI sets a code of conduct and the systems to implement labor rights and standards, which all participants commit to implementing within their supply chains. Learn more about these core standards.
When taking the time and care required, it is very possible to find highly sustainable and ethical manufacturers in China. And we’re proud to be sewing there.
