Love it

Fits great, very comfortable, very warm.

Side note: whatever the knit you have in the pockets and hood, please make a whole item out of that fabric.

Well made jacket and all natural material

Overall I like this jacket! It is well made, warm, and comfortable! I do have some recommendations which I would like to see on future jackets. It would be great to have to a zippered chest pocket assessable from the outside, zippers on the hand warmer pockets, and a draw cords on the hood and bottom of the jacket. The draw cords would make the jacket and hood a little more weather tight. The zippers on the pockets would help with not having "things" fall out of the pockets. Chest pocket would just be a nice addition.

My new "go to" jacket

I put this jacket to the test yesterday since we had a snowstorm here in Michigan. I was initially skeptical with temps in the low 20's with heavy snow. I was going to grab my Canada Goosedown but instead I wore the Loft and I have to say I was impressed! I only wore one thin merino base layer and the jacket. I felt comfortably warm and really like the hood and the zip to the neckline. I thought it wouldn't keep me warm because of how light the jacket is but I was proven wrong and this will be my go to because of that factor.

When I got inside the merino was able to breath and I forgot I had the jacket on. That's the beauty of this jacket that it can be worn in cold temps probably to around 20F and warm up to the 50's

Worth the wait

Impressed with the design and workmanship. It takes considerable effort to include useful features in a minimalist design. I’ll start from the top. The hood is well thought out, insulated and complements the soft puffy collar to keep the head and neck warm. Chest pockets are inside so there is no annoying zippers to break up the clean lines and appearance. Hand warmer pockets are lined with soft merino. The interior lining is a slick fabric that is softer than taffeta called tencel (google it for more info), almost like satin. Cuffs are simple, no buttons, velcro or elastics. Unlike a down puffy jacket, the LOFT puffy uses wool, so it’s not really puffy. Wool is an insulator, down is not. Down simply creates large air pockets to separate the cold air from the body. The result of using wool as the insulator is a jacket that keeps you warm, but without the balloony bulk of a synthetic puffy. Sizing is right on the money. I am 5’ 10” and 175lbs. and the large fits just right. Five stars, highly recommended.
