Got them for cycling, and they're great for that. But it turns out they're just great for all around use. They're so comfortable and they look great. When I wear spandex shorts for cycling, I can't wait to get them off after a ride, but these are so comfortable that I just keep wearing them.
Was a little concerned that the slight cotton content would make them absorb sweat and get nasty, but even on hot summer rides, they wick and dry quickly.

Absolutely love the material and 5 pocket waist fit. Light weight yet has perfect structure. I could wear them everyday. I wish Woolly would make a 5” and 7” inch leg. I like my shorts, a little shorter. Thanks Woolly.

I did a 2000 mile bicycle tour with two pairs of these shorts, one pair to wear and one pair to wash. I hand washed them, usually in a bathroom sink, and then hung them on the rack to dry while rode. I don't like spandex and I don't like padded shorts. I have a Brooks leather saddle and these shorts worked out great. I was worried that the cotton blend would make them feel soggy, but that wasn't a problem and there was no bunching or awkward seams. When I was riding I wore them commando (no underwear), but they never stinky even when I wore the same pair for days. One pair did develop a tear literally on the last day, but it had probably gotten more wear.

I've been looking for a replacement to my old favorite pair, and these are it.
Classy looking too. These are my fancy "going out" shorts.
