Love the pants and impressive customer service.
I recently decided to be a digital nomad for three months -- mostly in Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. I packed a few essentials, including a handful of merino t-shirts and a couple of longhaul pants (the newer bamboo-blend version and the older cotton-blend iteration) to put Woolly's products to the test.
Thought I'd combine my reviews.
In truth, I worried about how I'd fare in South America's humidity clad mostly in wool.
I washed the Longhaul pants just a couple of times during the duration of my trip. (I did bring alomg a pair of jeans and some khakis, too.) They felt soft and smooth, and allowed me to move freely, partly because the pants (30W, 30L) fit me somewhat loosely. I was tempted to shrink them in some hot water, but did not want to risk forever ruining my pricey purchase.
The version using bamboo was a bit more comfortable -- softer and a smoother appearance than the cotton version (which Woolly no longer seems to offer.)
The only issue I had were the zippers on a hidden back pocket -- but both were quickly resolved. (More on this below.)
Most of the t-shirts worked great. I did laundry once every few weeks, handwashing the t-shirts and drying them flat as recommended. One of the t-shirts, however, developed a hole after three or four washings -- but couldn't be sure if it got chewed on by a moth or if the thinness of the material made it less durable. But that was one t-shirt among a handful.
What truly impressed me was the customer service I…
